Your love never fails, never gives up, never runs out on me.
“This is by no means a naïve, romanticized approach—rather it is brutally realistic. In this view of marriage, each person says to the other, “I see all your flaws, imperfections, weaknesses, dependencies. But underneath them all I see growing the person God wants you to be.”

Recently, I’ve been thinking about the existence of hell - not in a depressing, pessimistic kind of way, mind you. It’s just that as you read the Bible and you read Jesus’ words, you can’t escape it. Hell exists. Jesus, who is God, who came down from heaven to Earth to seek the lost, who lived a perfect life of righteousness, who was tempted in every way as we are but without sin, who demonstrated the greatest love of all on the cross when he took the full wrath of the Father for all our sins, who rose again in victory over Satan, sin, and death, talks about hell more than all the people in the Bible combined.
In our modern culture, hell is a hateful, repulsive thought. I mean, even Christians shy away from such an idea. How can an all-loving and all-good God, if he exists, send people to hell for eternity? I mean, maybe that is one of your biggest objections to Christianity and Jesus. We would rather think about being in heaven with Jesus forever than think about an eternal, conscious punishment for unrepentant sinners known as hell.
I wanted to share with you guys Tim Keller’s article on the importance of hell. Keller, the Senior Pastor of Redeemer City Church in New York City and the author of The Reason For God, honestly challenged my thoughts and made me reassess what Jesus meant by “hell.” I hope this is an encouraging, biblically engaging, thought-provoking read as we wrestle through the reality of hell.

“Manning up is not just managing your sexual temptations
It’s not just managing your sin that’s not what it means to be a man
Because you can try harder and you can do better
And you can hang on longer that’s not manning up.
Manning up is our ability to lay down all of our effort
And all of our trying and all of our strength and say I trust in Jesus
I trust in His perfection I trust in His power I trust in His resurrection
Because He’s the only one that can get me through this
And He’s the only one that can make me free”
Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, stood by his libertarian beliefs on Sunday, saying that victims of the violent storms and tornadoes that have battered a band of states in the South and Midwest in recent days should not be given emergency financial aid from the federal government.
“There is no such thing as federal money,” Paul said, on CNN’sState of the Union. “Federal money is just what they steal from the states and steal from you and me.”
“The people who live in tornado alley, just as I live in hurricane alley, they should have insurance,” Paul said.
Paul said there was a role for the National Guard to restore order and provide care and shelter in major emergencies, but that theFederal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) led to nothing but “frustration and anger.”
“To say that any accident that happens in the country, send in FEMA, send in the money, the government has all this money—it is totally out of control and it’s not efficient,” Paul said.
Lose all your things in a natural disaster? Too bad, shoulda had insurance.
Lose all your things in something beyond your control? Too bad, the government shouldn’t pay for it.
Lose all your things thanks to my God? Too bad, you can remain homeless and hungry.
Good work Ron Paul. Keep it classy.Fuck this man. Why would you vote for him?
Okay then.
I don’t blame him. FEMA didn’t do crap after Katrina

When you step into the ring of life, you implicitly consent to getting hit hard and often. This, of course, doesn’t mean you have to like it when you lose. You’ll get in your fair share of punches, too, but it’s a lot easier to count the bruises you incur than the bruises you inflict. And if…
